View Terrenia's Unique Artwork

In October, 2011, Deiter F. Uchdorf, a member of the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, addressed women gathered from around the world to Salt Lake City, Utah in the United States of America. The theme of his address was Forgetmenot. One woman, Terrenia Porter, was particularly touched by President Uchtdorf’s words that day. As he concluded his remarks, Terrenia saw what she needed to paint.
The only hurdle standing in her way was that she had no idea how to go about painting what she saw. She needed to learn how, so she did.
You see the result before you. The risen Lord Jesus Christ presents a young girl with a forget-me-not bouquet, in effect telling her, “Child, forget me not ”.
As Savior to all mankind, Jesus Christ asks that we in all ways and at all times remember Him and as He would say, “Child, forget me not ”. He sacrificed His all for us and asks us just to remember Him and follow Him.

“Jesus is saying to the little girl and to us, “Forget Me Not”. This is a captivating and inspirational portrait and truly touches the depths of our hearts and souls. Thank you Terrenia for listening to the Spirit and depicting the love the Savior has for each of us.”

“I had a look at the site, and by cripes, your painting is a ripper. AWESOME!!!! STUNNING!!!
I can’t find the words, honestly your painting is a masterpiece and I can see who the ‘real’ artistic genius is. As it reads, I feel that given your little experience with oil paint you have done a remarkable job, there is no doubt. I looked at the detail in close up and it reminds me of Titian and Leonardo da Vinci’s Madonna of the Rocks with pointing index finger. You have skillfully combined ‘the naive’ with the ‘spiritually deep’.”

I have had the great privilege of getting to know Angela Johnson, world-renowned sculptor and creator of the Light of the World gardens located at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah. As I learned about her sculptures and visited them, they took my breath away. The feeling upon viewing them filled my soul with gratitude for our Savior. https://lightoftheworldgarden.com
I met Angela during the time she was creating these sculptures. I had the thought, “What if I could create paintings of her sculptures and offer them for sale with the proceeds being donated to the “Light of the World Gardens”? I approached Angela and with her permission, this is how the Light of the World painting originated.

Terrenia is available for custom commissioned projects, like the seascape painting.

Dr. Jones, Rocky Mountain Allergy Clinic, was taking a trip once and saw this beautiful piece of artwork in the airport he visited. At closer look, he realized it was a magnified pollen grain. He got the idea to decorate his office with paintings of magnified allergens. Hence, this is how these paintings originated. They are found displayed at Rocky Mountain Allergy Clinic in Layton, UT.
